Year photo from 1949

These images have been kindly contributed by Hilary Byrne.

I most certainly thank "HilsB" for his efforts to scan and get these pictures to me for everyone to enjoy. My personal favorite is the Sing-Song on the bus.

The large whole school pic was taken by a camera which swung around moving the film in the camera at the same time. We were all in a semi circle. I'm afraid you didn't spot me Paul, I'm 9th from the left on the second row, scratching my face.

Year photo from 1972

Image kindly contributed by Mark Kludowski.

Mark Has actually numbered each pupil and teacher, and compiled an index into an XL spreadsheet ( I'm working on this now ). If you recognise anyone not listed, do the row count and let me know then I can update the database.

This was the last wide image to be shot at the school. A really big image [2Mb].... I would download it.

This photo looks like it was taken in front of the greenhouse, at the northeast quandrant of the campus.

Don't you think the lad on right, 3rd row from the top looks like a young Mr.Bean?.

Taken on a coach going somewhere, or perhaps returning from a match. The principal singer is John O'Brien. A great companion. I met him by chance some years later in Birmingham. He was working as a cameraman for Granada Television.

Buses..... when they smelled of leather

The Producer. I cannot remember the name of this master. I think he taught English and had theatrical experience.
