The rightmost 1st. floor bay window was the senior boarder's dorm (held about 20 lads). This window had a retractable fire escape which was used by certain acquaintances, who were solvent, to attend dances.
Subsequently, when boarding finished, this room became the library.
The just visible, window lower and to the left was the "mid-aged" dorm for about 8 - 10 lads. The junior dorm was in the area of the "bricked up" window in the Eccles Rd. picture.
Nearby this bricked up window you will notice a drain pipe, used by one young boarder to escape to Exchange Station and home. He did this on a few occasions. Two of us were sent to bring him back. The rightmost bay window on the front 1st. floor was the chapel for the brothers and boarders.

This was taken in September or October 1951 and was the first building undertaken after WWII. This was the start of my last year at
DLS. I was allowed to use the classroom nearest the new building as a study in the evenings and at the weekend.

Autumn / Winter Shot Photographed 1980 - Definately not at 10-2-4.
On an OTT type line:
On the 1st north wall we have there a bricked up window area - I reckon in the eyes of the architect that its his idea of some sort of "Holy Mary Port" that connects the school to the blessed above.
